Super Duper Easy DIY Magnets
For my birthday I recently got a magnet board, but it only came with 2 magnets, What?!? I totally wanted to hang more than 2 things so I decided to make my own!
There are so many things you can make magnets out of. The bracelet that doesn't fit. The earrings that are missing a match. necklaces. Anything!
A few years ago someone gave me this bracelet as a gift and I thought it was super cute! The only problem was it wouldn't fit on my wrist and it was a little to bulky. I often wear bracelets on my right hand (it just feels more natural) but I can't wear bulky ones because they hurt when I write.
So in 3 simple steps I had 5 new magnets!
1. Cut them apart with pliers
2. Use Gorilla glue to stick magnets on.
3. While they are drying go online and find some super cute prints to hang up or go through your camera roll and pick some cute pictures to hang up.
Pretty easy, huh? I thought they turned out super cute and they look great on my magnet board holding up some pictures and cute prints! I'd love to see what you make magnets out of or what you decide to hang up! So post it on instagram and tag @moorelightshine_blog for the chance to get a shoutout!
What else can you think of to make magnets out of?
Have a great day!

The mistake that almost ruined my blog & how to fix it + other google+ tips
If you recall this post, I accidentally deleted all pictures off my blog. Through Google+. So today I wanted to tell you all how to avoid this tragic mistake, but if you already have, how to fix it.
How to fix it:
To be honest I am not 100% sure how I fixed it, but this is what I am pretty sure happened.
After they all disappeared I started to upload the basic ones for my design (header, about me pic, etc), then I began updating and reposting pics. As I did this I shared a few posts on google+ and put them in my Moore Light Shine folder. I had previously unchecked the setting above, but it wasn't until I uploaded photos that they came back. No promises this will work for you, but it really saved me!
If you can't fix it
Then take this opportunity to revamp some posts. Fix that really bad graphic from one of your earliest posts, edit that one post you wrote super late. Clean out a few posts that are irrelevant, repin, and reshare some old posts, organize tags, etc. I redid my cherry crisp post. This was one of my very first posts so it was super bad. The pics were blurry, the fonts didn't match, and I had a pic for every single step which was way too much! So I went back, took the best pic I could find from the photos and edited it in a way that concealed some of the mistakes. I then deleted the old pics, rewrote a few things (grammar mistakes, promises of a blog series that never happened,,whoops..... reformatted ingredients and instructions into easy to follow lists, etc) Now the post looks a lot cleaner, is easier to read, and really simplifies the recipe. So even though it stinks that you can't fix it, take the opportunity to improve your blog!
Very Important Note about Google+ Photos;
What ever is downloaded to your blog, even if it is just a draft or is deleted out of a post, is saved. This is something to be careful of if you accidentally upload a picture of your house, what city you live in, etc that you plan to delete (ex, you are uploading multiple photos and it is on the same row so you click it accidentally). If this happens you can click on the photo and delete it, note that if you delete a photo off google+ it will disappear off your blog. Other thing to note... if you want to delete your Google+ be careful not to delete your google account because it will delete your blog(s) to. Luckily I read the read more and ended up not deleting my Google+ or blog.... that was very good.
Last, but not least...
So I know you all are dying to know... how can I follow you? Haha;) Thanks for asking! Follow me here.
How to avoid:
I accidentally clicked on this "deadly box"
And that my friends is what caused all of my troubles. I was confused about it's meaning so I clicked it. I know it was totally my fault and I really should have read Learn More, I just want to warn people- do not click this box- it will not be good!

#servingothers2015
I recently read about a project some of my favorite bloggers are doing and I thought it would be awesome to link up!
I love the idea of trying to be kinder and more giving. As I wrote about in this post, I really want to become better at serving and truly giving of myself, but I have struggled to find ways to serve because I really want to make an impact, as I teen who isn't old enough to drive and doesn't have much money, this can seem hard to do. I will admit, I spent awhile in the well-I-guess-I-can't-do-anything phase, but I am ready to jump up and do what I can right now! I wish I could travel to a third world country, buy a bunch of things for orphans, and serve them for at least a month, but that is just not an option. So for now I will stick to opening doors and doing random acts of kindness:)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We all know that person.
The one who is seen as annoying or hard to work with. The one who is mean or constantly
brags. The one who drives us slightly crazy.
We try so hard to get along with them, but sometimes it seems impossible!I feel like a am a pretty nice person, I try my very hardest to be kind and patient with everyone, but some people just get under my skin!
So in my journey to embark on "serving with all my might, mind, and strength," I am striving to learn to love these people. To see them as Christ would.
And if you really look at these people, really trying to understand; a lot of times they really just need to know some one cares. They need to know they are gorgeous, smart, and destined for great things.
So this month (or I guess how ever long..), I will be making some nice little notes to put in their stuff when they aren't looking. I will also be striving to be more patient, but I think it would make me so happy to find an anonymous note in my pencil pouch telling me how amazing I am:)
I was going to make some cute printable, but I think a message typed in word (so the handwriting is unrecognizable) will be more mysterious and more personal than a cute printable that anyone can find online.
To the people who feel like no one cares, I want each of you to know that you ARE loved. I know with all my heart that there is a loving Heavenly Father who loves each and everyone of us beyond comprehension. There is a Savior who suffered for us and made it possible to repent and live again. Each and everyone of you was made for a divine and glorious purpose, you were created by The All Mighty. Ignore the world, they don't know what true beauty is. Focus on shining, coming unto Christ, and being filled with love and you will glow. Who ever you are, you are amazing and you are loved.

3 Step DIY Mousepad
Awhile ago when we relocated our computer area, we switched to using a wireless mouse with our laptop. We needed a cute mousepad, so I decided to DIY one! This is a super easy project that can be done super fast and cheap!
So here is where we started…….
Plain. Boring. But full of Potential.
My mom has used this fabric for several projects and I knew it would be just perfect!
1- Trace your mousepad on the fabric and cut.
2- Fold your fabric in ½, also mark the center on your mouse pad, you may want to do this before cutting so you can line up the pattern. (This won’t matter on some designs, but I wanted a type writer centered so for me it was necessary)
3-Paint one layer of mod podge directly onto the mousepad and place the fabric on top, let dry. For the final step, paint an additional layer over the top and let dry.
And you're done! Super easy and cute! Have an amazing day!
